So this black, sooty stuff is collecting on the back of my GT6+. Obviously coming from the exhaust. I've been told that means my carbs are set too rich. But I've read in my Haynes Stromberg CD manual

Not all of these carbs are adjustable that way. Earlier ones had the adjustment on the bottom, middle ones were non adjustable and later ones were adjsutable from the top. If you have one of the latt
