Two of my cars have steel-lined Aluminum brake drums. Does anybody know if it is possible/reasonable to have them re-lined, or are they hopeless? Once a drum gets turned to the max, or so egg-shaped

Remember, in my original note, I said I was NOT converting to discs. That includes a "stealth" disc. I think the way they were made originally was by a shrink fit. The steel or Iron liner also has in

Machining away on a drum of the correct ID probably would be the way this could be done. The pegs I referred to aren't radial. They stick out the face of the drum against the wheel, not the circmfer

Oops. So, are you saying that they can't be rebuilt, but they can be remanufactured? I tend to think NOS parts, or good used ones shipped from Europe would be cheaper than that. It'll just take more
