Can anyone tell me what's involved to get speedo working again when by all appearances, it's a problem in the tranny? Am I going to have to pull the engine/tranny to fix it!?!? :( Speedo just quit l

It is either the pinion gear on the speedo cable (but you said that is good, so rule that out) the cable snapped (did you pull it out to see?) or the drive gear in the tranny (worst case scenario -

The drive gear can be taken off the tranny w/o dropping the tranny, providing there's enough room in the tranny tunnel. Just undue the bolt holding the retainer and then try to pry the speedo gear h
