I need some help with the spin on oil adapter. The thing leaks, no scratch that, pumps the oil out of the engine at an unbelievable rate. It seem s to not be sealing with the factory o-ring in place.

Hi Jon, I had exactly the same experience the two times I installed adaptors many years ago. I forgot about the bad experience, so after a recent rebuild I replaced the O Ring, with the same results.

i just looked at my oil filter box lid i keep in my glove box and The Puralator filter i use is L20195 bought at a local pep boys. (save the box lid w/ the number of the filter for future reference)
