FWIW, the factory used shims for that purpose too ... P/N 109582. They already have slots. $2.25/each at TRF ... flat washers are certainly cheaper but the shims are 'correct'. Randall

I suppose anything is possible ... but it seems most unlikely to me. A very stout piece of hardware ... is the end of your crank also chewed up ? It's no more rugged than the dog, so they should both
