Can anyone advise as to how one is supposed to lube the rack on a 69 Sprite All the technical reference data I have seems to indicate that there should be a zerk on the rack (earlier models maybe?),

I asked on the spridget list about getting hypoid oil into the steering rack of a '60 bugeye, and a couple of responses were from people that used grease. It looks to me like the PO used grease. What

The problem with grease is it's the wrong stuff, but you do use a grease gun to install the oil. Just pour oil into the butt end of a grease gun, and use it to inject the oil into the rack. Extremely

Yes, and extremely messy. I used one of those smaller grease guns and it was leaking oil like a sieve. Big mess all around. Anyone have a source for an oil-tight grease gun? Ulix Ulix __/__,__ ......
