Here's my dilemna...my SM Civic has been sitting for a couple of months. Now the clutch has decided to "weld" itself to the pressure plate just from sitting and from all the condensation and such. I'

DON"T spray any lubricant on your clutch unless you plan on replacing it. Look under the car while someone pushes on the pedal to be sure the slave cylinder is actually pushing in the throwout bearin

How about prevention? Is it possible to store a car with something propped against the clutch pedal holding it down? Will this weaken the springs over time? Is it bad having the hydraulics pressurize

If what Mike and Charles recommend doesn't work (before the disassembly part), try this if there is some way to get access to the clutch/pressure plate via an inspection plate or other opening. Push
