I installed a mild cam (hotter than BJ8) in my BN7 with a lightened flywheel with no noticable impact on idle or low end performance. The grind was called an M42 from American Cam 2001 East Gladston

My experience is with the earlier sixes but the info should still be valid. I went with the Kastner A-6 grind available from Delta. The A-6 has 255` duration @ .050 with .275 lobe lift. Advertised i

Here are the specs for the American Cam "M42" Intake duration 270 Intake duration at .05 lift 220 Intake lift 445 Intake opens at 26 degrees before TDC Overlap 52 degrees Exhaust closes 26 degrees E

It appears most of the grinds are a bit higher duration than stock for a little more top end and have a bit more lift to maintain the low end grunt. Seems like a reasonable compromise. bs ** Bob Spid
