- What viscosity oil did you use for the breakin period? I too got less than satisfactory pressure with a trial of synthetic and went back to dino oil. Curious to hear some thoughts on this. You should

- Any time there's a marked drop in oil pressure and no knocking, I always remove the oil pressure relief valve and carefully clean out any metal particles or anything else that might serve to hold it

- I doubt that the Mobil 1 has much to do with the low oil pressure. 10W-30 is 10W-30, dino or syn. Are you sure of the pressure gauge? Might be a good idea to put a direct acting gauge on it and see w
