- It depends on if you have a solid belt or a cogged one. On my 65 4A just by cranking the wheels(can't remember left or right) there is just enough room to slip the belt under the steering rack. One

- Some people have found that just jacking the engine up a little against the mounts (without loosening them) gives enough clearance. Another thing that helps is to get a thinner fan belt. Cummins 178
