The whole "darn" night working and I have not even got one door fitted.... is this typical ? Is it acceptable to bend the hinges as needed to fit the door ? The drivers door bottom rear grinds a bit

This is what the spacers underneath the body are for. I spent quite a bit of time moving spacers to get the door alignment correct. On the other hand, the hinges can be bent a bit. Some of mine were

I've had the same problem with the doors. The tub I acquired from the DPO looked like it was welded together without any consideration for accuracy. I had to cut one inner wing off to realign since
