I would offer the following 1) make sure you using the appropriate size screwdriver (I am not sure about the size because a DPO replaced mine with screws that use an alan wrench.) But on other LBCs I

I have had very good luck with an impact screwdriver. I got one many years ago from JC Whitney and it is still working. Just used it a couple of months ago on an old MGB. Very handy and easy to use.
