I have a similar whine in my 72 as well. Only occurs under load so I'm not entirely sure if it's the same situation. When I asked locally about it I was told not to worry too much if that's all it do

The Bentley shop manual requires some specialized tools (almost impossible to get) to rebuild the differential. Purpose is to ensure long life AND minimize noise from the differential. The Haynes man

Hi List! I rebuilt the diff. on my TR4/A IRS, when I did my restoration back in '96-98. I only used a mag. base with a dial gauge as a special tool & a crows claw to pull the seal. Oh yes, I did use
