I recently rebuilt by brake master cylinder on my '70 TR6 and as usual, am struggling to get the bleeding done. I started to wonder (yes, that gets me in trouble) about my Pressure Differential Valve

First of all, lets get the nomenclature right. It is a PDWA, Pressure Differential Warning Actuator. It is not a valve. I stress this because many people mistakenly believe it will shut off the hydra

Thanks for the clarification. I took the name off the TRF's parts catalog since I wasn't exactly sure of the name, and they refer to it as a valve. Your explanation makes sense since there would all

True enough, but it can also introduce one slightly sneaky, very different problem on some cars. (Let me see if I can remember this without looking at a wiring diagram.) On some cars with no oil pres

I'm sorry, but IMO if you don't do that at least once after buying a car, then you deserve what you get ! Personally, I make it a habit to try to check every single bulb on the car at least once a y

To those who are in tune with our cars, as are we, the loss of one of the braking circuits in a dual system would become apparent quickly. But to the lowest common denominator, of which the NHTSA wer

If you dissect one you will see that it is nothing more than a shuttle that has the pressure from each circuit applied to either end. If a slow leak develops it can go unnoticed but the resulting dif

That was a low cost method of a lamp check function (which was probably also a requirement - why have warning lights if they are burned out?) it is a question of priorities. If you loose oil pressure
