My tach is making a constant crunching or grinding sound. Based on my last experience with a TR6 some 27 years ago I know it's about to expire. I didn't have the $$ to fix it then so I never bothered

Jim--Chances are it's just the internal cable that has used up it's supply of assembly lubrication. It's easy enough to disconnect the tach at the back of the instrument and pull it out. Coat the cab
