My temp gauge does not work. The wiring is all OK, which leaves one of two things. The Gauge or the transmitter. My car appears to have two of them? It is a 1296 from a 69 MK3 placed in a 1963 Spit.

You've got a water outlet from the 63 and the water pump housing from the 69. They changed places somewhere in-between. If you tried both, it sounds more like wiring, power or gauge problem. MikeC It
