Another source is the antenna lead itself. It collects the interference and delivers it to the back of the radio. The only way I know to kill this source is to go down to Radio Trash and buy a toroid

No problem with reception. Just engine static. You must have a steel hood and a well suppressed electrical system (suppressed as in no RF generated). Any tips on how you did this? Dave Johnson
