I've seen a couple of Spridget racers configured this way. It doesn't look too difficult. The main challenge is to create the hinge on the front. I've seen one application where the bonnet is bolted

I have seen race Spridgets with one-piece front ends; they often are mounted tilt-front, sometimes just lift-off. Mini Mania among others, carries them and the fittings. I changed my '67 "bonnet" to

It may be your pattern I have been following for front hinging just the bonnet itself. Is it on a web site? Instead of one long hinge I have been working with two heavy duty brass plated door hinges
