FWIW, this is a stick top with about 3 1/2" between the header rail and the top the windscreen. It really doesn't want to move right now. I'll set it in the sun tomorrow, provided it doesn't rain....

If you plan on making it a Bimini top, try this first. I have done it with mixed results depending on the top. Amcos take it well. A torch! slowly heat the vinyl to where it's pliable, do not melt it

Unless you can cop an industrial hair dryer, don't waste you time. I tried that first, it doesn't get hot enough but a heat gun might. I don't have a heat gun and I never melted a top with a propane
