According to Clausager (p.119), for Jan '72 Roadster numbers began at 268645 and GT numbers began at 269271. Your 269151 is solidly in with the roadsters. Your eyes are not deceiving you. No one too

Honest, you have a roadster. The clue is the 3rd character of the VIN - "N" This was the code for Roadsters (Tourers according to the factory) GT's on the other hand had the third character as a "D"

Chris It is quite possible that someone put a different VIN Plate on your car - taken from a GT. Also Moss could be wrong - check the Original MGB or maybe someone on the list with a copy could check
