- Had the same problem a while ago, and the volt. stablizer was loose. After tightening everthing went normal. Youve probable checked that, just a thought. Steve Hubbard O.

- Possibly, although if I watch carefully I have always been able to see the gauges move slightly on both my cars. Slightly and slowly does indicate it is coming from the 'stabiliser' (an amusing term)

- More likely to be the sender unit, which is a small screw in sensor on the right front (if my memory serves me correctly) of the engine block. It has a wire running from it which provides the signal
