The 1970 USA models had emission controls on them. Most transmissions only have a switch for the reverse lights. I seem to recall an extra switch on the 1970 model transmission. Perhaps to signal wh

Hi Robb, Yeah, those extra wires threw me for a loop when I found them connected to my '70 4-spd trans. With my '70 1600, there are two sets of wires. One is for the standard reverse position switch
