Hello Spridgets, I have a new set of Federal Mogul AE 21251 pistons with rings, the paperwork and the box makes no mention of the kind of rings they are...and no mention of what finish the cyl. walls

What grit stone should I use to deglaze the cyl walls? Use one of those cross hatch type hones. A bunch of balls on wire leads. Only a few bucks at most auto stores. -- Frank Clarici Toms River, NJ

Cordless drill with a ball hone seems to work fine. Although I never counted the hatch marks up and down, a few seconds on forward and about the same in reverse as you move the hone up and down at *a
