OK - I went to actually look for this mysterious number. The plate with the body number is on the firewall (anl5/22299), but there is another number stamped into the metal panel running away from the

Your ANL5/XXXXX number is the chassis number, the one you register the car with. If the plate that has this number is mounted to your firewall and you own a Bugeye, it is in the wrong location. It w

All Bugeyes had the body (Thompson) number on the right side like what we are talking about. The numbers were close but not a match as Mike said. All square body cars do have the correct chassis numb
