60-80k seems to be the normal on 1275s. I'm sure some people have 300,000 miles on their 1275s with no problems but not me. I have pulled apart a lot of 60-80k 1275s and most are just showing bearing

I get the impression that a I have put about 40,000 miles on my 1275 since acquiring the car. The engine is not the original, according to the BMIHT certificate, and I don't know who rebuilt it or wh

Some what limited on the life of 1275's but rebuilt ours a couple of years ago at 55K and everything was still with in factory specs. The bearings look like they would have safely gone another 10K a
