I'm not an expert on TRs by any means, but as far as I know the nose of the Triumph 2000 diff was dropped at some point to deliberately make the UJ work more and so prevent a problem called propshaf

The angle between the drive shaft and the pinion flange isn't that critical by itself. What is important is that the gearbox tailshaft flange and diff pinion flange are close to parallel, so the angl

I was told by the local drive shaft shop, that UJ have to have enough angle to make the bearing work and heat up the grease. If it doesn't the grease dries out, gets hard and the UJ fails. The TR6 dr

How severe is the upward tilt of the pinion flange? As you've already replaced the mounts, possibly did you bolt the rear mounts on the wrong side of the mounting ears on the rear end or upside-down
