Steve gave you the height for the tank. I just take out the es tank when going to a down flow. PIECES had a X flow with tank, it now runs a down flow. Personally, I like the down flows, they hold up

I don't have any experience with downflows, except that I sold one from a parts car once. I have never had a problem with the crossflow in my Midget -- either overheating or leaking -- in the 13 year

Regarding downflow vs. crossflow, we've had the discussion before - personally, I have had no problems at all with the downflow in a 1275 Bugeye that is driven pretty hard, most of its life in Florid

It should be pretty cheap to have the local shop braze a threaded nut over a hole in the right spot and add a tap. That is the current plan with mine. Regards, Glen Byrns agree radiator

Most of my cars have been downflow also, but the for the '68 with the crossflow, I made a crossover pipe from 1 inch copper pipe and added an extension to the "T" with a draincock on the end. Gerard
