Hi Listers For those on the spridget list, this is a follow up to my "need help tuning" post. I now think my problem may be my fuel pump. I disconnected the fuel line tonight and ran it into a gallon

Here's another weird Spridget problem. The fuel pump on my Bugeye (SU Electric) clicks away just fine. But it clicks away with the "out of gas" sound. So I put gas in the tank even though it reads 1/

Frank... you might have a leak at the pump or a fitting allowing air into the system and fuel to return to the tank... this would cause the pump to suck air which is easier to move then Fuel.... once

I would think it is a small leak in something between the tank and the pump. I would try re-tightening the fittings between the tank and the pump. The only question I have is that the pump should be

Frank, I'm sure you'll find the problem here, but my guess it that the pump has a diaphragm problem. This is rare as they are a really tough material. It could be that it is partially stuck or gummed

I have had this on my first Spridget where the tank was very rusty and had been fixed with multiple layers of fiberglass!!! Of course the gas would dissolve the resin over time so that it started lea

Hi Frank, If the above solutions didn't work, I would look at the pick up tube in the tank. It could have a pin hole or just leaking at the side fitting. If this isn't it than it could also be a stuc
