non-detergent oil is not a requirement in Spridget boxi. Use the same premium oil you run in your motor, but keep it on the thicker side (20w/50). Cap'n. Bob '60 :{)

Just use whatever, you're using in the engine. This trans just needs engine oil, not gear oil. Engine oil, multigrade or single grade. Don't worry about "Non" detergent or detergent. Are you looking

definitely gear oil in the Datsun conversion however, it can be synthetic or the old stuff. The old stuff gives you the best synchro action which is understandable considering the old stuff is what
