Alan, To me, the fact that the radio is "sputtering" on and off seems to be the telling point. I'm assuming that you have a non-factory radio, so tell us, what wire did you tap off of for the switch

Sounds like a fuel supply problem. Check fuel pump output, fuel filters, float levels, condition of fuel lines, tank output blockage, fuel tank vent line. John

Scott, Thank you! :) Yup, the dashpot oil was low and refilling cured about 90-95% of the problem. The alternator light still flashes and there still is minimal stumbling on acceleration. I'm using
