Hi Manuel, I can tell you from personal experience that if you get over zealous applying Permatex to the gasket, the Permatex will indeed fill in the oil return "dent" in the oil sump gasket surface.

Could be that your gasket is from a similar Austin or BMC engine but does not have the oilway holes needed when fitting it to a 100. Did you check the new against the old? All the best -- John Harper
