Hi all, I often see on the list statements about running at higher RPM's being a no no. So what is higher RPM's? 3,500? 4,000? 4,500? 5,000? 5,500? Is it model specific? I have an unmodified 1300 71

I drove mine daily on the freeway at about 4000 rpm (72mph) for about three years (45 minutes each way commute). Problems included: - worn rocker gear and valve guides (yet to be fixed) - worn UJ's -

For Nigel, going and coming back from SD today, it was between 4,000 and 4,500 rpm-that is, 65-75 mph. And the thermometer never rose above 1/4! Yeah!
