Thanks for the advise RE the bore size and rebuild kit on my Sprite. I ordered a kit for a 62' 948 Sprite, which should have had a 7/8" bore per the catalogs. A caliper shows I really have a 3/4" bor

Hmmm...my sprite is a seemingly very original 62 HAN6L, 948. But the master cyl bore is positively 3/4". Drums all around, no apparent mods. So I'm going to order a rebuild kit from M** for a 7/8" ma

If the bore is 3/4 you need to order a 3/4 kit, 7/8 won't fit. Rick

I just looked - my master cyl has the 7/8" mark on the casting but is bored 3/4". Which begs the question - if I'm running drum brakes all around is a 3/4 or 7/8 bore better? Joe Lansing 62 Sprite MK

Maybe your HAN6 is the very last one and BMC ran out of 7/8 bore masters. Knowing the HAN7s were to have a 3/4 bore master they just started a bit early on your Sprite ;) Not that BMC was known to do

A 7/8 bore can not be bored to 3/4, as 3/4 is smaller. It could be sleeved down to 3/4??? At the master cylinders, smaller the bore, the farther the pedal would travel to move the same volume of flui
