Check the thermostat (replace it), timing and look for vacuum leaks around your carb. If you need to know how to do any of these things let me know. Chris

I had the same problem. Timing correct, carbs set properly, engine flushed out, new largest core I could put in the radiator, good hoses that didn't compress, good radiator cap. What would happen is

The original fans push, rather than pull - not so good. My experience: put in a cooler thermostat and the largest puller fan that will fit. I obtained a fan from Pep Boys for my '77 B and the car run

Have you checked that the new fans are turning the right way ie pushing air through the radiator, not competing with the airflow as you are driving. If you connect the wires the wrong way they will
