I installed a Pertronix in conjunction with a Lucas Sport coil. I was then told by one dealer that he had a Pertronix memo stating specifically that the Sport coil should not be used with it. However

At the risk of angering the Pertronix gods, the Ignitor installed by my PO has been troublefree for 4+ years and 33,000 miles of daily driving. I haven't had to adjust or lube it every 6000 miles or
