- I might be biased, but my definitive recommendation would be a TR8 if You want a TR. If You'd be happy with a smaller car [not that much smaller actually...] then the car to recommend is a Spitfire

- regarding choice between spitfire and TR's... Given equally ratty cars that need equal attention... both are going to cost similar dollars to restore... hence... it's better to get the TR... i.e. a T
