My Tiger(B382001080) has an unusual feature concerning the rear bumper. The bumper has 2 holes with license plate lamps mounted in the holes. These lamps are mounted on the top surface of the bumper.

Correct Correct Custom. My MkI has a differnt lighting system than the MkIA, and looks like that. It was supposed to illuminate the license on the deck lid. The PO reversed the mounting bracket, and

The light units that mount on the bumber were fitted on very late Series V Alpines and some Tigers. No big deal, they are the same as the MGB units...... Curt Classic Sunbeam

According to the Alpine Parts List, the bumper mounted lights were introduced to Series V on B395016692, used intermitantly to ...16779, and all #'s beyond that to the end: ...19122. They would have
