they are designed to limit the total travel of the axle to limit travel, thus limiting damage to the rear shock. when you jack up the car, the axle will hang from these straps rather than the weight

I think I just put myself in the world of hurt... I removed the axle from the car today, but in the process both of the rebound strap studs on the axle were broken. Is there any way to put in new one
