I had a clutch failure directly attributed to a roller release bearing. I'll discuss the result, the cause, and a very simply fix. The result was that the roller bearing casing overheated and failed.

were you useing the stock pressure plate and clutch, or the competition stuff ? My release bearing seems to "flop" around quite easily, and with plenty of clearance. john.kahoon@juno.com 71 midget O

It wasn't the stock setup, but the depth (flywheel to release face on pressure plate) wasn't much different to stock. If you are sure that at that depth, the release bearing can be vertical without b
