I have a loud vibration around 2500 rpm at the shifter of my 70 B. Pushing on the shifter quiets it. Are there shims in the shifter mechanism that could quiet this? Thanks!

There are a few things that could be causing this. Either the anti-vibration plunger that is mounted in the selector housing (right rear large bolt) is worn or missing, or its spring is bad/missing.
