Do yourself a favour and drop the steering column by removing the 3 bolts that hold the column to the bottom of the dash. Then check both sides of the cover. You are looking for 4 Phillips head scre

As you may have seen, I did this "in the field" this morning. Left side, #2 phillips head. Mine was missing one screw. I'm wondering if I didn't loose another this morning. Didn't have time tonight,

Though it was a year ago I had mine off, I'm pretty sure they are a Phillips head , maybe #2 on our 79. My screw heads were on the right. The bottom right one is the hardest to get off and I found t
