The visors for all years (to the best of my knowledge) were always a wire frame with foam in the center covered with vinyl. There were two different patterns. I have one NOS visor of the old pattern

Embarrassed to admit it, but that's what i did many years ago. Glued the Velcro in place with PlioBond rubber cement and it works just fine Stuck one inside the clip and wrapped one around the pin on
