There is very little more that the voltmeter will tell you that the ignition warning light doesn't, but some prefer the peace of mind. It is certainly better than an ammeter from the connection *and*

I added a Smiths voltmeter to the center console. Ed has a photo of it on his http://www.justbrits.com/cars/console.jpg Gauge is 52mm, quadrant style; #26.80 from http://www.holden.co.uk --Scott
