That would be me.

I agree with Dick's response.  The main purpose is to hold the rocker
assembly together while it is off the car.  It is on the last [back]
pedestal.  From memory, my screw was about 1/2" long with a phillips tapered
head.  The loctite was for insurance purposes.

Another question...several months back when changing my oil, I found a small
screw in the oil pan..looking online, someone mentioned that this is
probably the "shaft locating screw" off of the rocker shaft...what does this
screw do?  Is there anything tricky in replacing it?  The author of the
previous message recommended putting loctite on the threads to prevent it
from coming out again....Thanks, Drew
