Top Cover Cups

List,

I'm trying to install new O rings on the top cover selectors.  I guess the 
early top covers had screws holding the selector rods in place & the later 
had "cups".
What's the best way to get 'em out...drill?  I'm fitting a later J-Type 
tranny in a TR250
