Those numbers aren't bad. About normal for a TR6 engine with a few miles on
it, but not worn. You don't say what oil you are using. Most people use
20W50 and get the higher idle. With 10W40 you would expect to see a lower
idle. Also you need to mention what temperature the idle was at. Was your
engine hot, (above 1/2), or was the environment really warm? These variables
have a fairly large impact on the idle oil pressure.

I see my engine start at 95+, running in the 70s at highways speed when
fully warmed up, and around 50 at idle. However I have the temperature only
showing 1/8-1/4 and the oil is 20w50. Engine has only 3000 miles on it.

I'm trying to decide if I need a new oil pump or not, can you please
help me ?

I'm told it is "normal" for a TR6 to fire up and run 90 PSI oil
pressure, then when it warms up to drop.

I'm running a TR6 drive train in my TVR 2500M, when it fires up it is
running 90 PSI, when warm at 2000 RPM it is about 45, and at idle is 25.

MOSS do not show a rebuild kit for the oil pump, is there no kit
available which means a new one ?

Thoughts ?
Thanks, Pat
