I would assume that u-joints do not have grease fittings for the following
reasons---
1. Extra mfg steps are involved with fitting types----drilling/tapping a
hole, plus the
cost of the fitting (adding to overall costs)
2. A lost fitting provides a contamination entry point
3. Improved lubricant base stocks allow for sealed-type u-joints
4. Aside from the fanatic listers, most people probably forget to grease
them,
can't access them, or plain don't care
Probably too much idle time on my hands this morning.
