Geoff,

Give some details about your previous experience.

There really isn't much to be concerned about when properly breaking-in
a new engine.

I assume when you refer to "seating rings" that your last engine was
passing a considerable amount of oil, well after the usual break-in
period?

Best regards,

Jim Swarthout

List,
I know there is a lot of "voodoo" out there when it comes to starting up
a
newly rebuilt motor. Is there a definitive word on this topic -
especially when
it comes to seating the rings - probably why I had to do a rebuild after
such
a short amount of time.
All advice appreciated.
With Thanks,
Geoff Parker
