Jim,

As an enthusiast the two most important things to me are Vendors who 
have a complete product line and those that are in it for the long haul. 
  I also appreciate the smaller niche market kind of businesses.

I would suspect prior to the internet the niche manufactures were 
working out of their garage making parts for themselves and their 
buddies down the road. Now they are able to market products to the world 
through the internet. We all benefit from these niche products and 
keeping these guys in business is important to us.

I don't know to what extent you are making a living out of what you are 
doing vs doing it as a hobby. I think if I were trying to make a living 
or a significant supplement to my income, I might not appreciate someone 
giving away products similar to what I was trying to sell. Perhaps you 
might want to consider the possibility that you may be undermining the 
ability of these small guys to stay in business by giving away products.

It might feel good in the short run to get something for nothing, but it 
might not be good for us in the long run.
