Bruce-I have the same mods and have also wondered about re-curving the dist. 
to the PI specs. It would involve limiting the centrifugal advance to about 16 
deg. and changing springs so that max advance occurs at about 2600 rpm. I 
used to think that all carb dist curves were more or less equal until I browsed 
the Bentley manual. My car, a 71, is really different. It calls for 4 deg 
static and doesn't reach max advance (26-30 deg) until 5600 rpm. Do you have 
the 
Moss part number for the spring kit?
